The Lawron Trail Riders was formed in 1967. We maintain and operate 82 miles of grant in aid trails in northern Minnesota.
Our trails are located in the communities of Lawrence Lake, Balsam, Buck Lake, Cloverdale, Keewatin, Nashwauk, and Taconite.
The name Lawron was formed by combining Lawrence Lake Township and Iron Range Township. LAW – RON.

New Club House
In 2022, we completed construction of our 40’x72′ club house which also serves as groomer storage and safety training facility.

Their mission is to connect and advocate for all trail organizations in Itasca County.

Minnesota United Snowmobile Association (MNUSA) is the statewide organization that represents all of us at the state level. MNUSA has a lobbyist who defends our trails with MN lawmakers. MNUSA works closely with the DNR on trails issues, access, and infrastructure.
